Over the past fifteen years, I have had the priviledge of meeting and befriending many healing practitioners who are eager to go the extra mile for their clients. Often, these remarkable caregivers and spiritual healers don't charge what their products and services are worth, even after years of schooling and thousands of hours of hands on practice. Some healers don't charge for religious reasons, or they just feel that what they do doesn't call for charging a reasonable service fee and they fall prey to the poverty mentality. If your in your own business, this mindset can be fatal.
If you feel you may not be charging enough for your services, ask yourself these questions. How much time, effort and money have I put into building my practice? Am I consistently updating my practice and upgrading my education? Do my clients give me referrals and buy other products and services I offer? If by answering these questions, you still aren't sure, try writing a resume of what you offer and include your certifications and experience. This should give you a clear picture of what you offer the community and you'll be able to set your prices accordingly. Of course, you'll want to do some research as to what other healers are charging for the same healing services and expertise.
